Welcome!

At our chair, the application of data-driven solutions is at the centre of research and teaching. We use advanced methods and models from the field of data analytics, including predictive and prescriptive analytics, as well as methods from operations research. We focus in particular on issues in route planning and the healthcare sector, investigating how problems in these areas can be solved through digitalisation and the increasing availability of large amounts of data.

Students not only gain an in-depth understanding of these methods, but also learn how they are applied in practice - for example in the fields of logistics, e-commerce and digital medicine. The curriculum always includes new research findings and current challenges from the business world. The aim is for students to learn how to apply their knowledge directly in research and practice.
