Professor of Economics, in particular Applied Microeconomics

Chair of Economics, in particular Applied Microeconomics

Welcome to the website of the Chair of Applied Microeconomics

In research and teaching, we mainly deal with the economic activities of companies and people in the context of globalisation, migration and structural change. Our research focuses on the empirical analysis of economic phenomena on the basis of large individual data sets. In our courses, we combine microeconomic theory with applied data analysis and the teaching of appropriate methods.

In the research semester

In winter semester 2024/25, Professor Ingo Geishecker is in his research semester. Unfortunately, the supervision of final theses (MA and BA) is therefore very limited. We recommend that you indicate one of the Faculty's other chairs as your supervision preference if you would like to write your final thesis in winter 24/25. We wish you every success.
